"Creative Energy" (sold)

(sold)

Creative energy generally rises up from a quieter, more reflective place within us. It is important to allow time and silence to come together and make room for this to take place. You don't even need to be an artist to do this. The process applies to any endeavor.

This is a softer version of implied shapes with the contrast closer together in value. There are definitely times when the mood of a piece calls for this. Even the black shape is softly defined by diffused edges except for the lower left hand corner. I hope you can see the difference in mood from some of the previous postings. By focusing on value contrasts (wherether they are close together or far apart on the gray scale) and edges (sharp or soft), you can clearly control what mood you want to communicate visually.
