With an exhibit coming up,  I've had my mind on pedestals. So this quote emerged out of that word association and how people that are placed on pedestals don't always end up with a spirit of humility. This is why many in the public eye tend to go down a wrong path. Pride goes before a fall.

Division of space in a piece is still one of my first considerations in creating a piece. This piece does not have as strong a division as some of the others because the division is created by lines and expressive writing in the background rather than by a strong value change. The lesson here is to keep the division of space soft and muted if you want to keep the viewer's attention on one image exclusively. It also creates a quieter mood.
